How to play Baseball Bingo

Fill all sixteen squares with the 35 offered players. A row or column alone is not Bingo. There is no timer.

Click an empty category that the current player matches. A correct answer fills that square and brings up the next player. Each player is offered once.

You have 35 tries. A correct placement, skip or successful wildcard costs one try. A wrong placement costs two tries. Each of these moves brings up the next player; a wrong guess never skips an extra player. Filled squares cannot be overwritten.

You have one wildcard. It places the current player in every matching empty square. Every player matches at most four categories on a card. If none of the empty squares match, your wildcard and turn are kept.

Players appeared in MLB from 2010 onward. Their recorded teams, awards and achievements before 2010 count too. Birthplace and handedness come from their biography. Category definitions explain the exact thresholds.

Each card can be completed without the wildcard, but your choices matter. The game ends when the card is full, you run out of tries or players, or you give up. Today’s card and player order are the same for everyone. Progress is saved; each Daily can be played once.

How Baseball Bingo works

Baseball Bingo turns career knowledge into a placement puzzle. Your goal is to fill all sixteen categories, not just a row or column. Thirty-five players arrive one at a time, and there is no timer, so you can read the card before deciding where each player belongs.

How to play

  1. Read the current player's name and look for an empty category they match. Open Categories & moves when you need the full definition, especially for awards, career totals or Managed by clues.
  2. Choose one matching square to place the player. A correct placement fills that square permanently. Placement, skipping and a wrong answer all advance to the next player; you cannot return to an earlier offer.
  3. Use your single wildcard when a player matches several empty squares: it fills all of them together. If none match, the wildcard is kept. The card ends when you fill every square, exhaust the players or tries, or give up.

Scoring

Each filled square counts toward your result out of sixteen. You have thirty-five tries: a correct placement, skip or successful wildcard costs one; a wrong placement costs two, while advancing only one player.

Playing tips

Compare all the current player's options before placing them. Prefer a category you know fewer alternatives for, keeping broader categories available. A wildcard can rescue several difficult empty squares, but waiting too long may leave fewer matches.
